The importance of careful auto care shouldn't be underestimated. Maintaining your car in good condition makes it safer and more pleasant to drive, and also helps protect its resale value for when that time inevitably comes.

Unfortunately, in today's busy lives, it's not always easy to keep on top of this vital task, and this can cause issues down the road. Mechanical problems can become increasingly problematic, if not dealt with promptly.  While some problems, like balding tires, can be fixed easily and brought back to new condition, other items, such as deteriorating paint or upholstery are difficult to restore, if not impossible, without spending big bucks.

Frequent servicing is a possible solution, but even this can be difficult to schedule without major inconvenience. Can you afford to surrender your car for most of a working day while the service is done? Or do you want to give up valuable free time at the weekend?

Luckily, there's an answer to this problem, and it's called a maintenance valet service.

What Are Maintenance Valet Services?

If you need to have your car serviced with a minimum of disruption to your daily life, using a maintenance valet is an ideal choice. When you sign up with a provider, a mobile valet meets you at a convenient location, such as your home or workplace, and takes your car to a service center. Essential work can then be carried out while you get on with your day.

How Does It Work?

Clearly, your car is a valuable asset and so care needs to be taken over its security. When the valet arrives, they will follow a detailed checklist to find any existing problems with your vehicle. They may also carry out a video walk-around, and will record the mileage and other vital details.

Once you've agreed to the inspection results and signed for them, you'll have a record to reference if any damage is done, or if any other disputes arise. Your car will then be whisked away, serviced, and then returned with all care taken.

What Does the Service Include?

With most valet services, you can have as much or as little work done as you choose. Here are some of the most common services provided:

- Exterior bodywork wash, wax, and polish.

- Pressure washing of wheels, wheel arches, and under the chassis.

- Interior detailing, such as steam cleaning and vacuuming.

- Oil check and change.

- Tire checks and/or replacement.

- Full preventative maintenance servicing.

Of course, if your vehicle needs more extensive repair work done, then this can usually be arranged in advance, depending on the facilities available at the repair shop. Whether your requirements are large or small, a maintenance valet service is a convenient way of keeping your vehicle in good, working condition for a long and hassle-free life.
